ImagesConnect is a challenging project for students. With our portraits and project we aim to bring European students in touch with 'world students' as an inspirational factor. Few have knowledge of the circumstances in which many of their peers in other countries live and study.
ImagesConnect is an educational project for students, without giving a lesson in development cooperation. The significance of the project is to provide a context for the living conditions of students, in a way that appeals to youth.
We try to stimulate students to become more involved in the pros and cons of globalization and to understand the complexity and dilemmas of international (development) cooperation. To talk about the difficulties 'world' students have obtaining proper education and to provoke a discussion about the internationalization of (and access to) higher education. You can Support us to allow us to continue our work to enable local student projects and scholarships. Visit our crowdfunding page for the support of specific student projects and portraits.
Project engaged by students themselves
ImagesConnect also offers the students action perspectives. They are stimulated and challenged to become active as volunteers or donate to projects that focus on improving learning opportunities for young people in disadvantaged countries and initiatives to support their life and study.
At every university and location ImagesConnect exhibits we cooperate with local student and debate associations, to (help) organize international citizenship projects. For example our student debate program 'You educate a man, you educate a nation' and crowd funding campaign at Tilburg University.
