Uniting Society for Development

In summer and autumn of 2014 a group of students who were photographed by us at Tilburg University, along with a delegation of a number of student associations ran a crowd funding campaign to improve education for Liberian students.

Uniting Society for Development (USfD) is a group of 10 students based in Tilburg with the vision to improve education for students, for starters Liberia. Their goal was to raise money in order to send Dutch emeriti professors to Monrovia University through the program Professors for Development. They will teach Liberian teachers, who then in turn will be able to help a class full of students to further develop themselves.

In addition, the students focused on sending Henny Boogert to Liberia to join the professors to document their journey to West Africa and capture the students, the teachers and the professors. Among them Emmanuel Reeves as he returned home to teach young students. The resulting journal will be used to further facilitate USfD's goal of education for everyone. Look here for the crowdfunding campaign.

The crowdfunding campaign still continues, but due to the Ebola disaster it is currently unknown (autumn 2014) if and how the program and photography trip will proceed.

Please help them in achieving their goal and improving education for Liberian students by donating.
